The cooperative

The Eisenbahner-Baugenossenschaft beider Basel (EBG) values open, communicative residents who appreciate a tolerant community and a mix of generations, and who are willing to contribute actively to communal life.

Before moving in, a deposit equivalent to three months’ rent must be paid into a tenant deposit account. The amount is converted into cooperative capital at a later date, so rental deposit insurance and similar products are not accepted.

• Dogs are not permitted in the cooperative’s residential developments.
• Indoor cats are allowed. Prior approval is required to install a cat net.

The Lehenmatt neighbourhood

The property is in the Lehenmatt neighbourhood, directly beside the Birs. In summer, the river offers opportunities for swimming or walking towards Birsköpfli and the Rhine. The building

A leisure workshop and residents’ meeting room on the ground floor are available to residents. Communal terraces on the penthouse floor provide additional space for relaxation.
