This 5-room modular unit in Pratteln offers 125 m² of living space. At Homebase Pratteln, a Mini module of 41 m² and a Large module of 84 m² can be combined into one connected living and working area. The example combination comprises modules 1.15 and 1.16; further combinations may be possible depending on location and availability.

Flexible use of space

The modular concept is designed for people who want to arrange their spaces themselves and combine living and working flexibly. The combined 125 m² unit provides room for an individual layout and use.

Building and energy concept

The Homebase cooperative is developing a climate-friendly building on the Zentrale Pratteln site, comprising 104 modules. Its energy concept operates without conventional heating or cooling. Solar heat and waste heat, high-quality insulation and automatic ventilation flaps form the basis of a self-regulating indoor climate.

The minimalist and efficient housing concept is described as enabling exceptionally low rents.

New district at Zentrale Pratteln

The site is being developed into a district with housing, commercial uses and culture. Six non-profit developers are jointly planning around 480 new apartments and a variety of places for exchange and community.
