This 2-room apartment in St. Gallen (9000) has 43 m² of living space and combines a central, well-connected location with a view of greenery. The nearest public transport stop is a few minutes’ walk away, and shops and the city centre are easily reached.

The apartment

The living area accommodates both living and dining and opens directly onto the balcony. The separate bedroom is also a good size. A ceiling height of approximately 2.45 m contributes to the sense of space. The floor plan shows the living area, one bedroom and a balcony approximately 4.2 m wide.

The kitchen is equipped with V-ZUG appliances, including a combined refrigerator and freezer with three separate freezer drawers. Three large built-in cupboards in the entrance area provide storage. All windows except the bathroom window have electric shutters. A separate lockable cellar compartment is also included.

Shared laundry facilities

The communal laundry room is available seven days a week from 07:00 to 21:00. Laundry times can be entered as needed, so there is no fixed weekly laundry day. The large-capacity washing machine and dryer can also accommodate larger duvets. A separate drying room is available as well.

Parking

An outdoor parking space or an underground parking space in the neighbouring building can be rented. Blue-zone parking spaces are also located directly in front of the building; long-term parking is possible with the relevant permit from the City of St. Gallen. An outdoor parking space can be rented for an additional CHF 50 per month.

The last three additional-cost statements each showed a credit of CHF 580 to CHF 760. The apartment belongs to the Eisenbahner Baugenossenschaft St. Gallen, and joining the cooperative is a requirement for renting. A one-time membership share of CHF 300 is required.

Instead of a conventional rental deposit, a housing share capital contribution of CHF 4,200 is required. It is repaid after the tenancy ends in accordance with the cooperative’s rules. Rental deposit insurance cannot replace this contribution.

Availability and notes

The apartment is available from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement. It is being vacated due to a work-related move to Bern.
