The Genossenschaft Ziegelhütte Arbon is constructing a new settlement on Romanshornerstrasse. The first construction phase comprises 45 apartments and is ready for occupancy from September 2026. The settlement includes a total of 75 apartments once completed. For the cooperative apartments, Pflichtanteilscheine must be subscribed; payments from pension funds or Säule 3a are possible for these shares.
The settlement is built to Minergie-P standard. The apartment buildings are constructed in hybrid form (concrete slabs / exterior walls in timber element construction); the row houses are pure timber construction. Heat generation is via geothermal probes. Photovoltaic elements on roof surfaces produce electricity for self-consumption.
The settlement courtyard is the central place and offers garden beds and communal recreational areas. Each building includes a shared laundry room in the basement. The former nursing home houses various community rooms as well as rentable guest rooms, attics and commercial spaces.
Rentable parking spaces are available in the underground garage. Installation of charging stations for electric cars is possible. Parking price: CHF 120/month. Motorcycle: CHF 50/month. Bicycles, e-bikes or cargo-bikes can be parked outdoors or in the underground garage.
