Sustainable living in Riehen (4125) receives a new face: the former care home Dominikushaus is being transformed after 54 years by WOHNSTADT Bau- und Verwaltungsgenossenschaft together with the competition-winning office Salathé Architekten into the forward-looking residential project «DOMINO».

The «DOMINO» project emphasises upcycling in architecture, a practiced circular economy and high residential quality in the Basel region. The re-use concept — the targeted reuse of building structure and numerous components — is a central element of the construction project and underlines the sustainability goals and contribution to climate and resource protection.

Apartment

This 3.5-room apartment (EG B1.1) is part of the «DOMINO» project. The apartment offers a considered floor plan, a sustainable concept and a high level of living comfort. Additional comfortable apartments were created within the project.

• Rent: CHF 2,250/month (including ancillary costs)
• Minimum occupancy: 2 persons

Financial requirement

An equity share capital of CHF 6,000 is required; this capital is currently remunerated at 2%.
