The room
The cluster unit (marked as number 1 on the flat plan) is located in the northwest of the apartment. The unit has two large windows, one of which leads to a small balcony, and includes a private bathroom with shower. The larger room contains a sink and a small refrigerator. In addition to the private cluster, residents have access to 171 m² of shared space, which comprises a spacious living room with sofas and a projector, a large kitchen, a dining area with a big balcony, and a home-office corner.
Household
Current household composition: one woman, two men, and a couple with a baby. The adult members are all in their 30s. Household languages include German and English; professions represented are water treatment, medical device technology, psychology, mechanical engineering, and earth sciences. Shared activities include cooking together, occasional joint outings and invitations to friends or neighbours, cultivation of a garden plot, and participation in a SolaWi (solidarity-based agriculture) with at least one annual field workday. Regular house meetings are held to share information and make joint decisions. A reliable approach to assigned chores and a sense for cleanliness and order are expected.
